Solutions for the homeless

Source- Coalition for the Homeless "African-American and Latino New Yorkers are disproportionately affected by homelessness. Approximately 58 percent of New York City homeless shelter residents are African-American, 31 percent are Latino, 7 percent are white, less than 1 percent are Asian-American, and 3 percent are of unknown race/ethnicity.” Solutions- 1. A solution can be creating more jobs in our low-income communities that are accessible to anyone and everyone. Also, it would help if they were not minimum wage but a higher pay. 2. Offering our communities free financial courses for those that do not know how to deal with their money or with financial problems. Also, learning how to stay away from being in debt.  3. Affordable housing for low income communities. Especially, for those that do not receive more than $15,000 a year.  4. Advocacy- speaking out about the problems going on in our community, and spreading awareness.  Letting people know what most homeless African-Amer
